Pharmacology is the science of how drugs and other compounds interact with biological systems from the molecule to the cell to the organ to the whole of you or any other living thing. It's critical to medicine, psychiatry, dentistry, veterinary science,

Pharmacology is at heart of a range of crucial medical discoveries that improve everyday life. 

Basic Introduction to Pharmacology
Pharmacology is all about study of followings 
1 Drugs 
2 Drugs effect on body 
3 Body response for drug 

Pharmacology is derived from word pharmaconlogos 

Pharmacon+logos=  the study about drugs 

Pharmacon means Drugs/ Medicine
Logos means to study 
So we join two words together 
pharmacon+ logos is called pharmacology

Before deep diving into pharmacology we should have some knowledge of Drug 

1 Drug 
Drug is define as a chemical substance, typically of known structure, which, when administered to living organism, produces a biological effects.
A pharmaceutical drug also called a medication or medicine, is a chemical substance used to treat, cure, prevent, or diagnose a disease or to promote well-being.

So we can say drug is chemical agent which is used for 
1 Diagnosis e.g. X Rays 
2 Prevention e.g. vaccines
3 Treatment  e.g. Antibiotics

2 Drug effect on body 
What does drug do to the body is called Pharmacodynamic 

3 Drug Response 
What does body do to the drug is called Pharmacokinetic

PHARMACODYNAMICS 
PHARMACODYNAMICS (PD) is the study of biochemical and physiologic effects of drugs (especially pharmaceutical drugs).The effects can include those manifested within animals(including humans), microorganisms or combination of organisms ( e.g. infection)

OR

PHARMACODYNAMICS is defined as the response of the body to the drug. It refers to relationship between drug concentration at the site of action and any resulting effects namely, the intensity and time course of the effect and adverse effects.

PHARMACOKINETICS
PHARMACOKINETICS ( PK)  is a branch of pharmacology dedicated to determine the fate of substance administration to loving organism. The substance of interst include any chemical xenobiotic such as pharmaceutical drugs, pesticides, food additives, cosmetic etc 

OR

PHARMACOKINETICS described as what the body does to a drug, refers to movement of drug into, through and out of the body the time of its absorption, bioavailability, distribution, metabolism, and excretion
