Science based benefits of meditation
Meditation define as a practice where an individual uses a technique such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotional clam and stable state.
What is the concept of meditation?
Concepts of meditation is the practice of achieving, and balancing, the mental, physical, and emotional aspects of one's existence. Today, meditation is used to reduce, or eliminate, the symptoms associated with depression, stress, and anxiety.
Specific meditation concepts
Karma: Karma refers to any type of physical or mental action. This concept deals with the consequences of each action. This concept lies in the biblical law of an "eye for an eye"
There are three types of karma
- First acts performed in all lives
- The second is the acts of you current life
- The thrid types the act that you performing right now
According to the teachings of meditation every individual spirit will have different level of swadharma. This level will determine their dharm and can be raised through meditation or reduced through lack there of.
Dharma: The concept deals with the correct way to live your life and recived good karma. As applied to teaching of Buddha an can be applied to mental construction or what is cognised by mind.
Manah: This concept is the Sanskrit word for your mind. The Manah is the portion of the mind that receives sensory signals from other portion of the body. This is not only a scientific concept of sensory perception but the metaphysical ability for mind to receive signals from spirit
Buddhi: The Sanskrit term intelligent. This concept is the conscious ability to be able to understand the concepts that are taught to you. It also concerns itself with ability to think through situation and use reason when making important decisions. Your overall intelligence is referred to as your buddhi
Sanskara: According to yogic philosophy we're born with karmic inheritance of mental and emotional pattern known as sanskara through which we cycle over and over again during our lives. Repeating samskaras reinforces them, creating a groove that is difficult to resist.
Vasana: vasana is Sanskrit term that refers to past impression in the mind. That influence behaviour. Vasanas can be good or bad
Kriya: This concept refers to actual practice or exercise of techniques found in yoga it is not only pertain to actual correct physical motions involved but also the correction or incorrect technique and skill involved in performing each movement.
Viveka: This concept is directly related to the ability to realise the difference between reality and the fantasy or unrealistic portion of life. When applying this concept the practitioner must remember to constantly review what is real and what is fake and employ proper reaction based on their discoveries
Vairagya: Vairagya concerns itself with the disinterest in anything of current life. This concept requires the participat to distance himself from anything that they enjoy in there moral life in order to better prepare for after life. This includes the indifference of possession, enjoyed feelings and the enjoyment of any emotional action or response
Sannyasa: This concept that attempts to sum up all others concepts that contribute to a well led life. It involves adherence to all other concepts and is the eventual pursuit of perfection in all aspects of life to attain a truly healthy and perfect after life.
